Dark Shadows

A gothic fantasy with a tint of Burton and Depp tries to bring an old flame back to light. Barnabus Collins a wealthy playboy of old strutting his stuff in 1772 and breaking many hearts, including that of a family servent Angelique. When Barnabus tries to put his illustrious conquests behind him and settle with the love of his life Josette, Angelique puts her own wicked twist into play pushing Josette to take her own life and cursing Barnabus to an eternity of hellish life as a vampire. Barnabus is forced to slumber within in a coffin yet accidentally he is one day awoken 200 years later in 1972 to find the Collins family struggling and Angelique still plauging his family. Barnabus must step up, adjust to the new era and his own 'drinking' problem long enough to cease the curse forced upon his descendants and bring the Collins name back to its wealthy routes. The Avengers

If the Avengers could make a statement on what it has done to the genre of superhero-films it would most likely  quote Peter Venkmen 'We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!'. After five films building up to it, the Avengers assemble to defeat the pesky God of mischief, Loki who with the cosmic cube(Tesseract) plans to invade planet Earth and proclaim himself king with the help of his lovable friends the alien race of Chitauri. Though that doesn't sit right with some people, one person being Nick Fury who decides it's time to reboot the Avengers initiative and calls together his super group to try and put a stop to the madness Loki brings forth. However, with a group of unique individuals like these guys they have a few creases to iron out, anger issues to resolve and come to terms with how society has changed in 70 years. The Cabin in the Woods

You know the drill, Five stereotypical teens, One dark and scary closed of forest with a creepy cabin... Oh, well you think you know the drill as while this may be how the film begins but things soon take a bizarre new route through the genre. So the group head to the charmingly rustic old cabin and get up to the usual promiscuous things young teens do, however miles under the floorboards the cabin has even more than the eye can see. Two hapless office workers meanwhile go about their daily business, hanging around the water cooler, chatting about their marriages and keeping an ancient god at bay through torturing and manipulating innocent groups of teens to their deaths, see how things start to intertwine? Will the teens find their way out of the predicament they face and obtain salvation or more importantly what will salvation cost if they do find it?
