The Dark Knight Rises

In 2005 Batman began, in 2008 The Dark Knight fell from Gotham's grace at the hands of the Joker and Two-Face and after what feels like too long a wait The Dark Knight Rises as a new threat emerges from the darkness. It's been 8 years since the Dent act was put into motion clearing the streets of organized crime in the name of DA Harvey Dent who, to the people of Gotham, was brutally murdered by the Batman. Though Commissioner James Gordon keeps watch over the now quiet streets, an aged Bruce Wayne finds himself a recluse without his late-night activities to keep him occupied and Alfred questioning his life goals Bruce finds himself lost without the cape and cowl. Elsewhere prominent thief Selina Kyle sets her paws on the ex-billionaire playboy at the behest of her employers who are out for Wayne and his family business. The Amazing Spider-man

Peter Parker is swinging back across the Manhattan skyline for a more personal story of boy meets radioactive spider. Brilliant in the mind but a loner in popularity, Peter Parker gets by in his simple life of science that is until he discoveries a long hidden mystery that led to his parents death. Looking for answers Peter sneaks into Oscorp Industries in hope of finding out what his father was working on, while it leads him into a more personal relationship with intern and classmate Gwen Stacy, Peter also makes the acquaintance of Dr Curtis Connors a enigmatic old friend of his fathers. His journey through Oscorp tower takes Peter to a room filled with artificially enhanced spiders and one of which take a liking to Parker, being on the end of a nasty bite Peter soon learns he's gained some nimble new abilities, though on sharing a scientific algorithm Peter helps Dr Connors on his own scaly metamorphosis of chaos. The Avengers

If the Avengers could make a statement on what it has done to the genre of superhero-films it would most likely  quote Peter Venkmen 'We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!'. After five films building up to it, the Avengers assemble to defeat the pesky God of mischief, Loki who with the cosmic cube(Tesseract) plans to invade planet Earth and proclaim himself king with the help of his lovable friends the alien race of Chitauri. Though that doesn't sit right with some people, one person being Nick Fury who decides it's time to reboot the Avengers initiative and calls together his super group to try and put a stop to the madness Loki brings forth. However, with a group of unique individuals like these guys they have a few creases to iron out, anger issues to resolve and come to terms with how society has changed in 70 years.
